I have been a member of the ICW and a representative to the United Nations for the ICW since 1992, and a life member of the ICW since 1995. I was a member of Jeannine de Boccard’s team in Geneva before replacing her as principal representative. For the International Council of Women (ICW-CIF), I participated in the Human Rights Commission, later replaced by the Human Rights Council, in the CEDAW and CRC committees. Delegated by the president of the ICW-CIF in the 1995’s I participated in the drafting of the optional protocol to the CEDAW convention and in the drafting of the optional protocols to the CRC convention. I have always been involved in women’s and girls’ rights and have developed an expertise on violence and have been able to lobby experts and delegates. In the ICW-CIF structures I have been part of the Bureau as secretary and vice president, I have followed the ECICW assemblies and have been its president from 2019 to 2022. Serving the rights of women and girls within the ICW is an honor, a pleasure and a heritage since my grandmother at the beginning of the 20th century was already part of it.
