CSW62 rural women

The 62nd session of the Commission on the Status of Women (CSW62) was held at the United Nation Headquarters in New York From March 12 to 23, 2018.

The priority theme was “Challenges and opportunities in achieving gender equality and the empowerment of rural women and girl”.

More than 8000 representatives from 1121 civil society organizations registered to attend this year to be informet and inspired to continue their efforts needed to lift women and girls out of poverty and violence and actualize their full potential and human rights. The aim of the CSW62 was to garner global attention to ensure the rights and development of rural women and girls who have long been left behind.
