IN MEMORIAM
Message of condolences for Lydie Rossini van Hissenhoven, first ICW Vice-President
On behalf of the ICW Board I would like to express my deepest sorrow for the loss of our dear friend Lydie Rossini who died on the 14th of October 2010 in Rome.
Lydie has been for 30 years the ICW Permanent Representative to FAO in Rome. She became a Board member in 2006 and she was elected first Vice-President in October 2009 at the ICW General Assembly in Johannesburg.
Her generosity, her dedication and friendship shall remain in our memory for ever.
ICW sends to her family and to the National Council of Women in Italy its sincere condolences.

It is my pleasure and honour to welcome the visitors of our website!
ICW-CIF last triennial General Assembly allowed us to celebrate our 121st Anniversary.
Over the years ICW-CIF women from all 5 continents have relentlessly spared their time, expertise and financial support to the Organization and have committed themselves to sustain their efforts and dedication in the future.
Increased networking through the enhancement and sharing of experiences, friendships and solidarity are some of the core values we believe in and therefore allow us to outline new prospects for our Organization.
From time to time old organizations like ours have to face temporary organizational problems, tight financial situations, political tensions, but in fact there are no issues that cannot be solved through time and reflexion, patience, goodwill and energy.
The quest towards Equality, Justice and Peace are appallingly slow. Many challenges remain.
Progress is tangible in many countries in a variety of social issues.
Undoubtedly we will all find the strength and courage to defend our beliefs and ideals in the sense that a better world for women is possible.
Let’s always keep in mind that “Progress for Women is Progress for All”.
